Welcome, Story Embers Writer!

Thanks for stopping by! We’re thrilled to sponsor the Story Embers Summit, and we’re so glad you’re here!

The School of Kingdom Writers is the first and only vocational training center for Christian writers. We teach you how to do the real work of being a writer so that you can impact your generation with your stories and ideas.

What is “vocational training?” It’s simple: learning by doing.

The School of Kingdom Writers’ full-time program is a comprehensive training program for Christian writers. Our students learn by doing with professional oversight, coaching, and mentorship. Best of all, we have fun and celebrate the joy of the Lord while we do it!

Our next full-time class begins this fall, and you’re invited to join us. Check out the video and the student testimonials on this page (which are all from writers just like you who learned about SOKW at last year’s Story Embers Summit!). As soon as you’re ready, please apply to the program. The application is free and easy and there’s no obligation. Browse the application here.

In the video below, Brad Pauquette, our founder and director, explains some of the key differences between this program and a conventional creative writing education. Not to brag, but here’s the big one: this program works.

We are now enrolling for our full-time cohort which begins September 2022. We would love for you to apply.

Our program has three primary objectives:

  1. To connect you powerfully with the voice of the Holy Spirit.
  2. To perfect your writing for multiple publishing modes.
  3. To teach you to find opportunities and leverage the media industry.

Besides all of that, it’s fun! We know you’re going to find people here that really love and appreciate you—that finally get you! Your tribe is waiting.

If you’re serious about becoming a professional writer, it won’t be easy. But we believe you can do it. Let’s do it together.

Learn more here and take the next steps to apply. The application is free and easy.

If you have questions, you can contact Brad directly at brad@SOKW.org.

Here’s what a few of our currect students have to say about their experience at the School of Kingdom Writers. All three of these students learned about SOKW at last year’s Story Embers summit!

Anya Israel

“Honestly, I was surprised most by how much I’ve grown spiritually. I’m stronger, more confident, and more peaceful than I’ve ever been both mentally and spiritually. The results of growth are always worth the pain of the journey.”

Thirzah Griffioen

What I really love about the School of Kingdom Writers so far, is that I can already see my writing improve– quite a bit. I’ve learned a lot of different techniques that have completely changed the way I used to write, and I’m so impressed with the results.

Michaylah Malone

“If you feel God is calling you to write and you desire hands-on learning, then this school is the perfect place to be! I’ve experienced growth, discipline, discipleship, healing, and a deeper understanding of what it means to be called by God for the glory of His kingdom. Although I enjoyed writing stories before, this school teaches the secrets to actually succeeding in the world of writing. I imagine the experience so far as bones being broken in order to grow back correctly as habits I’ve accumulated over the years are being renewed for the better. Best decision I ever made!”

Now it’s your turn!

You’re invited. We’d love to have you join us in Zanesville next fall. The application is free and easy. Get started here.

Where do you want to be two years from now? Do you want to be running full-speed towards a real career as a writer? That’s the decision you’re making right now.

The application is free and easy, and there’s no obligation. Is there any reason why you shouldn’t fill it out and see where it goes?
