Dear brothers and sisters,
We have a problem.
Christian voices are being silenced.
The average Netflix subscriber spends more time streaming videos each day than they do with their kids. (Streaming Observer)
The average evangelical is more than twice as likely to look at Facebook each day than their Bible. (Lifeway Research)
The average millennial consumes more than 17 hours of media per day. (Crowdtap)
Netflix, Amazon, PBSKids, and Disney have more influence among our children than the Bible does.
We know these things. We complain about them. But will we take action?
Church, have we had enough yet?
It’s time. God is raising up a new generation of Christian storytellers and content creators. It’s time to flood the system with the voices of light.
This is how we take action. This is how we fight back. God has put the pieces in play for a mighty redemption of our media spaces.
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
Will you pray with us for a redeemed media? Will you join your voice with ours and lay hold of the authority our Father is offering for this time and this arena?
Let’s join ourselves with the Lord. Let’s unite our voices to Him in concerted, targeted prayer.
Here’s our challenge: Can we get 10,000 people to commit to SERIOUSLY PRAY for the media?
It starts with you. Will you commit to praying for the media for 30 days beginning September 1?
We will unite our prayers together in targeted intercession and watch the strongholds of darkness fall.
We all know that entertainment media has this great power. That’s why it bothers us so much. That’s why we care so much about the stories our kids watch on TV.
But that power and influence works both ways. Why aren’t we using that power for the Kingdom? It was God’s to begin with. The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. (Psalm 24:1) He has authorized the church to reclaim it. Let’s turn to him together and say “Yes and Amen!”
It’s time to think differently about the media. It’s time to start taking it seriously. It’s time to make people uncomfortable.
We are uniting believers around this country in prayer for our media. We are raising up new leaders and young ministers who will take up the fight, who will disrupt the enemy’s plans, and who will redeem the media with the Lord’s purposes.
As James told us, “Faith without deeds is dead.” Take action with us. The first and most important action we can take is prayer. Let’s unite in prayer and see how God moves.
